The Green Youth Climate Fund Institution is a legally registered youth focused entity that seeks to empower young people for climate action through access to climate financing, capacity building and project implementation.
The Green Youth Climate Fund Institution seeks to solve the challenge of youth unemployment and environmental conservation/ climate action with the overall goal of enhancing youth engagement within the Green Economic transformation at National Level.
The Green Youth Climate Fund Institution was first conceptualized at the 26th Conference of Parties to the UNFCCC after identification of the lack of engagement of young people on accessibility to climate finance. It was formally registered after consultation at the GCF Africa Regional Dialogue of 2023.
Who?
We are a team of young people who seek to transform the society from the ground up. We firmly believe in local action, capacity building and means of implementation as key to supporting young people address climate action. We are primarily focused on the youth demographic ranging from 15 years to 35 years of age.

Our Mission
Our mission is to ensure 2 million young people from vulnerable communities across the world are provided with finance, technology, capacity and opportunity to support climate action by 2030 while creating 10,000 green jobs and contributing to green growth and a low carbon climate resilient development.
